Bandit of Edo

You come from a struggling merchant family in Edo-period Japan, with sales running dry and little to eat. Desperate and with nothing left to lose, you invade the castle of the shogun and take what you and your family need to survive, despite moral uncertainty. A side-scrolling action platformer where you go through four sections of the castle, grab bags of cash, fight through guards, and dodge saws and arrows. 

This is a real Game Boy game I made over my winter break with GBStudio, which can run on a Game Boy emulator with the rom provided below, which is my personal favourite method of play, or you can simply use the web build playable above. As this is a Game Boy game, accompanying restrictions including a four shade colour palette, slowdown and occasional sprite flickering do apply. The game should take approximately 10 minutes to play through, however this can vary based on your skill level.
